The City of Flin Flon - City Hall - Works and Operations Department

The mission of the Works and Operations department is to make Flin Flon a better place to live through innovative development, maintenance, and enhancement of current infrastructure. As well, we will continually improve transportation services, drinking water, wastewater, land drainage, and solid waste services. The department will perform its duties in a fiscally responsible, sustainable, and efficient manner. We strive to inspire the trust and respect of our citizens.

The Works & Operations Department consists of 24 employees: 1 Director, 2 Foreman, 7 employees in Utilities and 14 employees in Public Works.

The Utility Department is responsible for all water treatment, storage, distribution, sewage collection, treatment, and disposal.

The Public Works Department is responsible for all road maintenance, sidewalk maintenance, storm drainage, signage, equipment maintenance, solid waste disposal, including the landfill and the Dog Pound operation.
