What is the Flin Flon/Creighton & Area SPCA?
SPCA stands for the SOCIETY FOR THE PREVENTION of CRUELTY to ANIMALS. We are a group of people who see a need in our area to protect animals from suffering, as well as promote humane treatment and education.
Our goal is to build an animal shelter and we have been working hard at fund raising for the past three years to reach that goal. Currently, there is no animal shelter in Northern Manitoba. The sad fact is that the only animal shelters in Manitoba are located in Brandon and Winnipeg. Much too far away to be of benefit to us.
Our organization is run entirely by volunteers and funded through fund raising events and donations.
